Did Those Winter Storms Snow the Whole Population of Britain?
There has been an increase in the number of British people who are sceptical about climate change, a poll commissioned by BBC News has suggested.
It showed that 25% of those questioned did not think global warming was happening, an increase of 10% since a similar poll was conducted in November. The percentage of respondents who said climate change was a reality had fallen from 83% in November to 75%.
The findings show that only 26% of people think “climate change is happening and is now established as largely man-made”, only 1% more than those who think there is no global warming.

Of course that depends on what one means by global "warming". If this refers to the the average of the yearly mean temperatures, then yes the planet is "warming". Problem is that average of the yearly mean anomaly is not a measurment, it's a calculation. If one looks at the actual physical measurments one finds that this increase in the average of the yearly mean is caused by the following:
1) cooler summer where their has been FEWER heat waves now than we had in the 1920's
2) Not as cold winters, where the number of fridged days below -20 has dramatically dropped since 1900.
3) the summer growing season is increasing. Fewer days below zero. The length of winter has dropped some 30 days since the 1920's.
It isn't that the summers are getting hotter that is pulling the average of the yearly mean temperatures up. It's being pushed up because winters are not as cold.
